About

For the past 7 years Lindsey Borden has specialized in teaching pilates as well as using other training techniques whether it be in the studio or outdoors on the beach. Inspired by her Mother’s continual battle with breast cancer, Lindsey focused her life on sports training and nutrition with a specific focus on what she calls ‘intregrated pilates’ – an approach that is more than just pilates. It is a combination of core strengthening exercises, deep tissue work as well as stretches, plus a hybrid of organic eating and lifestyle choices.
In 2005 Lindsey trained at the Pilates Institute of Southern California, which was through the Colorado at Bolder Institute under Stacy Vargas. She currently trains with Mari Windsor in Los Angeles where she discovered the Romana Pilates technique of teaching. She traveled to New York where she met Sari Kryzanowska, Romana’s daughter and enrolled in the school which completed in February 2012. She is also certified in Reflexology and uses massage techniques in her lessons if needed by the client.
Philosophy: To use fitness and healthy eating to help maintain a low stress lifestyle that will ultimately help you live a long healthy life as well as help reduce your rate of health issues – It’s really that simple.
Belief: Making any workout routine fun and enjoyable. After working with me, clients find that my lifestyle approach is easy to follow and soon understand and they don’t feel right without it!
Quote: “A healthy inside equals a healthy outside!”
In addition to Lindsey having a UCSB undergrad degree in Global Studies with an emphasis in Latin American Culture and Ideology, she also was a NCAA Water Polo All American Scholar athlete. She now lives in Hermosa beach with her fiance, and when not training clients, you can find her at the beach fine tuning her work outs, playing volleyball or in the water stand up paddle boarding.
